Ghana 2-1 Guinea

The weight of delivering the hopes of a nation seemed to burden Ghana, who started the match in scrappy fashion.

Asamoah Gyan had the best early chance, having been played in by Muntari on six minutes before shooting wide from 15 yards.

Gyan then found himself with another opportunity within 20 seconds thanks to a poor goal-kick from Guinea goalkeeper Kemoko Camara.

Cisco Unified Communications

Future protection, which can create the possibility of opening up to more IP destinations outside the enterprise, may come in the form of technologies like wide packet inspection and in authenticated identity found in RFC 4474.

Arlington, Va.: Is toll fraud as big a threat in VoIP as in my legacy PBX?

Don Weiner, Cisco: In a word, yes. Toll fraud and telabuse are real threats to any telephony system. Mechanisms must be available to prevent callers from transferring out of voice mail systems to world-wide destinations (an early form of toll fraud). Mechanisms must be available to restrict users from forwarding their phones to just anywhere. Users must be educated, through regular sessions (at least annually is recommended), on social engineering techniques designed to trick a user into revealing privileged information or enabling toll fraud (for example, transfer a caller to a remote destination).

Are the Rangers a dangerous team because they’re flying so ...

But this is a Hall of Fame-sized mess even for a Hall of Fame guy to clean up. Which once-troubled Rangers newcomer will have the bigger year: Milton Bradley or Josh Hamilton?

NEW DAWG: Nice one, Ray. Gloom-and-doom question. I have no clue, so Ill go with Bradley. Hes on a one-year deal. Guys on one-year deals always play tough because they want a new contract.

BUCK: Give me the guy whose journey from the depths has been the longest: Josh Hamilton. This guy should be out of baseball, or worse, but hes made it back, and so Im banking on that kind of inner-strength and conviction. Hopefully for the Rangers sake Bradley can have a big year, too. Are we so bored with the regular-season Mavs that we expect a trade even when one may not help the team?

NEW DAWG: Yes, we are.

Michael Bauer: Between Meals

When Ed Levine interviewed me for his book "Pizza: A Slice of Heaven," I listed as one of my favorites the arugula and prosciutto pizza from Firewood Cafe. This decade-old restaurant has three locations in San Francisco: in the Castro, in the food court at the Metreon, and at SFO. I've been to all of them but rarely venture beyond that pizza and one of the salads, which are consistently good.

In the Castro, the original location, the feeling is upscale. Large windows overlook 18th Street, and each table is set with a complimentary bowl of olives. Diners line up in front of the wood-fired oven to order, and the food is brought to the table.

Size: 10 inches ($8.50-$9.50).

Style: Thin crust.

Oven: Firewood oven that bakes the pie for 650 degrees for about 5 minutes.

Check your workout personality

The trick lies in finding your workout personality. This means accessing that secret bit of your subconscious that knows you need to exercise, and wants to help you do just that. And its not difficult to make this secret bit a part of your daily life. So which of the following describes you?

Are you a solo artist or groupie?
Try to figure out what exercises suit you and your body. When coming to terms with this hefty task, it is equally important to consider whether these exercises suit your normal personality. If you dont like flexing with others, then choose sports such as swimming or cycling, that are more solitary. If youre a social butterfly, then aerobics or yoga are the ones for you. Find the exercises that are most compatible with your personality, and youll find it a lot easier and more comfortable getting fit.

U.S. BMX Team Gearing Up For Olympics

Some think it will be the summer equivalent of snow boarding, which debuted in 1998 and has since become an overwhelming crowd favorite.

There?s a California man who's guiding a team of riders towards Beijing on a brand new state of the art track in Chula Vista, California.

Mike King is a former world champ and now the director of U.S. Olympics BMX programs.

He said, "Everyone is saying that BMX is the new it sport for the summer games and I have to agree with them. I would've loved to have had the opportunity, but at the same time I?m just as excited, if not more, to watch these guys progress over time."

The U.S. team is one of the deepest in the world and will have an overwhelming advantage heading into Beijing.

That's because a new track in southern California is set for completion any day now.

Marine veteran pursues, battles robbery suspect

A Marine Corps veteran chased and tried to pin down a man suspected of stealing from his northeast Salem home early Sunday.

After the suspect got away, police joined the pursuit with a police dog. They arrested Rusty Weston, 42, who has no known address, a few blocks from the scene.

The incident started about 1:20 a.m. when Douglas A. Warden, 43, awoke in his home in the 800 block of Highland Avenue NE. A cell phone, coffee maker, some clothes and a picture of his daughter were missing, he said.

Warden stepped outside and saw a man duck around the corner of a nearby house and race down an alley. Warden jumped two fences between his house and the alley and tackled the man.

Warden said he had the suspect in a choke hold, but the man tried to gouge his left eye out with his thumb, so he let him go.
