| Clinton campaign starts 5-point attack on Obama
I don't want it to become a situation where the candidates lose supporters if one or the other don't get the nomination. Because, I'm a democrat and I believe we should work together to win the race against the republican candidates. I understand there are differences in the candidates and that's why we must vote, but don't let a loss of one candidate prevent giving the support to the winning democratic candidate because it's only going to hurt us, the democrats. I support Obama's call for change and believe in him. I have news of Hillary's financial irresponsibility and don't think she'd make a great leader due to the fact that we need someone who in financially stable. There are many other reasons why I feel that Barack Obama is a better candidate. Nevertheless, we as democrats need to vote to help choose the best democrat for President.
Super Bowl spotlight: NFL brass, street preachers work the crowd
PHOENIX The hubbub was picking up. Dave Motts from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, always the cheeriest guy in town, appeared from a car, yelled a hello and disappeared into Super Friday. A while later, at breakfast, a friend who has a vote in today's Hall of Fame election wasn't feeling cheerful. He was discouraged about one of his favorites, Fred Dean, getting passed over again. He was discouraged because a key Dean proponent had been dismissed from the selection committee for revealing committee secrets. And another thing ... "This is the most cheerless Super Bowl," my friend said. "Even in this room. There's no music. "And the downtown? The only people you see are other writers." But downtown was changing. It wasn't just writers anymore. Cops on bicycles and horses. Fans. Players.
Google winner as Microsoft and Yahoo face off
A proxy fight could stretch until July, the latest it could hold its annual meeting this year, followed by a strict regulatory review process in the United States and Europe. After clearing those hurdles, Microsoft and Yahoo will have to merge two different advertising systems and consolidate completely separate back-end computer systems. Already, Microsoft is seeking to absorb its $6 billion purchase of advertising services company aQuantive from mid-2007. All the while, Microsoft has to figure out how to head off a feared mass exodus of Yahoo employees while paring back redundant brands. Continued... .
Misadventures in Atlanta
I cannot say I was shocked, when I recently read a NY time article, that said a very high number of people in the world suffer from low self-esteem and 85 percent of people in the world are average at best and followers instead of leaders. Think about it,if the above really exists, then how do you think each of those folks will handle their relationships? Will they think effectively and productively or will they just spin their wheels and hope for the best? If a man thinks less of his self, how will he treat a woman that has high self worth, despite the fact that he may be successful in his career, but failing in other areas, such as his personal life and finances? Our experiences as children often shape our ideas, thoughts and feelings as adults.
Soldier victim in one scam, pawn in another
I was helping her out with her tuition and I got scammed," he said. "I was on a [forward operating base] most of the time, so any contact with humans helped, so I kind of got milked out of that." Hallenbeck, who was deployed from June 2006 to June 2007 in Uruzgan province in south-central Afghanistan, declined to disclose how much money he had lost — but said it was far less than the woman who fell for a photo of him. In an ironic twist of events — and as evidence that online scam artists are thriving — Hallenbeck's name and photo were used to scam a 59-year-old British woman out of thousands of dollars. Hallenbeck, a former Marine who later joined the Army National Guard, said he found out about the scam involving the British woman only when he was contacted by an Army public affairs officer, who was informed by Army Times.
